well-done

Running a successful business is challenging – requiring hard work, discipline and creativity. For their efforts to make the local economy strong and vibrant, area businesses were honored at the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Business Awards banquet held on November 7. My City Magazine was excited to attend as a nominee for the Outstanding Service Business award and to spend time with members of the business community. With Chamber CEO Tim Herman on hand to do the honors, the emcee for the evening was veteran news anchor Bill Harris of NBC25. After some lively remarks, C. S. Mott Foundation CEO, Bill White, presented the prestigious C. S. Mott Citizen of the Year award to Bob Fuller, CFO of Hubbard Supply Co. After witnessing the successes of local businesses in the past year, it’s safe to say that Flint’s future looks bright!
